Lewd Town Adventures version 0.9 early release information.


Welcome everyone to the Lewd Town Adventures update 0.9 - Early Release announcement!

The game is already out through Subscribe Star and will be publicly available in 3 weeks from now(November 15).
Here's is a very detailed post with all of the upcoming changes:

Update "patch" notes for Lewd Town Adventures 0.9:
• +1700 new images for new content.
• +200 images remade from scratch for earlier scenes.
• +100 new animations for new content.
• +100 animations redone for earlier scenes.
• +7000 lines of dialog (another book) got added.
• 40+ new events are available.
       + 4 new Subscriber-exclusive scenes.
• New sound effects and music added throughout the game.
• A new GUI implemented in the game and a new look for the MC computer.
• A new font for dialog.
• A new game intro.
• 3 new characters.
• You can now finally buy your own place.
• Every line of dialog reviewed and corrected. (Thanks to Jaredh72)


And much more...

To put this in perspective:

  • Animations went from 617 animations to 835+
  • Images went from 5800 to 7600+ (Excluding 200+ images for the new GUI)
  • Dialogue/Code/Event wise the game has been increased by over 25%
    (Previous update was 125 pages of dialogue. Now 300+)

This makes this update almost twice the size of the last one although not everything is geared to new content, it's still way bigger than the last one.

Bug fixes:
One big bug was found involving two events sharing the same code. Fixed.
The Boss arrival scene could not happen on certain occasions, locking you out of quite a few events.  For some players this scene will trigger again as it was the only way to not force everyone to restart the whole game.
71 images were the wrong resolution. Fixed.

Hundreds of small changes/fixes/improvements made. The list is too long to post here.

Just to give a few examples:

  • Certain event triggers could spoil other story lines. Fixed.
  • A buggy animation somewhere? Fixed.
  • Out of order images? Fixed.
  • Images going way too fast on certain occasions? Fixed.
  • Done with an event and you were teleported straight to your room or whatever? Fixed.
  • Unable to continue a plot path when you're supposed to go somewhere to trigger it right away? Fixed.
  • Strange name colors? Fixed.
  • A misplaced question mark "???" as a character name? Fixed.
  • Some choices that didn’t matter? Removed.

But seriously, hundreds of other minor issues: Fixed.

And now... For our most curious fans who love to read... The 'deets'...
Huge wall of text so have fun and not that many images since I've already posted lots of spoilers in the previous posts. This post already took way too much time to make so sorry for the lack of visuals!

"Captain's" Log:

First of all, this is by far the most time-consuming thing I've ever done. 

The goal from 0.8 till now was to take things sslloowweerr than usual. While Xo Mo had plenty of relaxing moments since the previous release, I did not. While he did a significant portion of the writing, a bit of custom character and map making, and a ton of photoshop work on the renders, I did everything else to assemble the whole thing (partially because the coding, animations, and renders are completely in my hands). The level of work on this revision and overhaul of LTA has been more intense than ever.

I normally would have already put a ton of hours into the game for a regular update... But the past few weeks/months have been even more crazy. I've literally done almost nothing else but focus every day on this game: all day, only stopping when I can't keep my eyes open. This means some weeks included up to 70 hours of work... and that's not counting all the work Xo Mo has done.

The result is a huge update that took a shit ton of work.

Note from Xo Mo - While it's a delight to write for these characters, sometimes I have no clue what they should do or where they should go. We have a general direction, but the details and how to get from point DD to point 69 can be tricky to plan out and write believably... To our players: when you encounter things you never expected, crazy moments that catch you off-guard, 33% of that is Jamleng and the rest is my imagination going wild... and lewd as hell... Muahahaha-haaa! *cough* *cough* 

Also, part of the intensity is my fault. I love writing all this stuff, but some of my newly written scenes were literally over 10 pages of dialog and needed 90+ renders and animations, sometimes with up to 5 different characters crowding the screen... While the longer, more in-depth scenes are great, we (meaning me) aim to make forthcoming events less strenuous on ourselves (meaning Jamleng) and our players. ;)

From the start:
The intro of the game got a fresh look and feel.

New players should have a more interesting start than they did before that sums up the premise of LTA in a few minutes.

This should help players actually understand that this is a game that is fictional, for fun, with parody and satire.

We did this to help with player retention (it was long overdue anyway). Hopefully this will get rid of the jerks who leave a one star review stating "MC is ugly" after playing for less than 5 minutes, having taken one glance at the prologue protagonist and saying, "Hell no. I'm out."

For returning players, it's worth clicking Start from the main menu to see what we made. Feedback is always welcome...

I thought about inserting a journal from the beginning but, since the prologue doesn't last too long and I think it's a pretty good tutorial for everyone, I've decided not to do it.

Early Game:
Quite a few early-game (prologue included) scenes got remade since they were outdated, still a leftover from the "how do I make this work?" days. ;)

This means mostly replacing images/animations. A bunch of these were completely redone for a total of a few hundred images and animations combined.  Earlier scenes that I made a year ago sucked a lot because I didn't know exactly what I was doing back then. These now have better poses, lighting, emotions on faces, etc. Now, it's not all redone, but overall I'm happy with the outcome.

Character dialogue got updated and a few small events got added. Characters will now repeat themselves much less often.

Extra visual and audio effects got added here and there whenever there was a call for it. We'll see if this works since people are pretty judgemental and impatient. I felt I had to do this as soon as possible. It's been on my to-do list for some time now.

Mid game:
Numerous small events have been added, character dialogue has been improved/updated. Certain scenes got a small remake, sound effects got added, other effects got added. Everything should run more smoothly because of the code changes and extensive beta-testing.

Some scenes got remade from scratch. Several got extra renders added, a few typos and minor issues got solved, and a lot of stagnant images got replaced by animations instead. More often now the characters will blink and breathe instead of simply be frozen until the next line of dialog. This was a lot of work since I had to replay the game quite a few times to locate and note what things could be improved.

Paying attention to all these details and making things right takes a lot of concentration and time. Sure, there are plenty of other improvements that could still be done (and likely will be done in the future) but realistically speaking this is quite a big step in the right direction. It's a start...

Late game:
Lots of visual and audio effects got added, a ton of new content has been added.

New and unique animations got added, thousands of lines of dialogue (over 40,000 words!) have been added. 

Two pretty big bugs have been fixed. For those who previously had trouble with any events after Day 65, that is no longer a problem.

Both Hero and Pimp paths have been thoroughly tested. Some lines were removed, replaced, or rewritten for clarity and foreshadowing.

New Events:
Lots of new/updated dialogue added to the Lewd Town citizens from the first interactions on Day 1 to the last moment in 0.9 dialog.

Talking to characters is now a bit more smooth and they got new alternate incest lines/added dialogue where before these were noticeably missing.

This is quite a big deal. Not many other VN games have as advanced dialogue as the LTA citizens have. Instead of being stuck in a loop, they now will comment on stuff that's happening around town, talk about other people and personal things they're doing when MC is not around. 

Special random events can be triggered but it's all optional since these mostly are not included in the journal. Basically they're there for the players that like to explore and get a bit of extra lore. So be sure to talk to everyone after a few events take place, even if you think they may repeat the previous statement.

New: Hilda got many new scenes (both light and dark) since she was the winner of our SubscribeStar poll. Some of these events were insane to write and produce, but I have a really good feeling you guys are gonna enjoy them.
New: Thanks to an unexpected house market crash, you may now buy your own place (the blue house just south of Hilda's & Pam's houses). Make sure to test out the new bed there to see if some random extra events take place. We hope you enjoy your new house; it turned out pretty awesome even if it's still lacking a bit of content… (3 events total) But at least it's purchasable now! More to come in the next update! New: Your step-/aunt Hilda's sister has finally come back from overseas. Which includes 2 new events. Speaks for itself, Hilda's sister turned out pretty awesome! ^_^ More scenes have been written, but we'd have to delay the game another month to fit every single unrendered (but awesome) scene into 0.9...
New: The MC computer got an update including a new email system. This is a big improvement; it looks way better than it was before and allows us to add things easily in the future. Subscribers, please be sure to check it out! ;)


A list of added events:

Neutral Paths:
- A Stacy/Principal event.
This quest is linked to fighting against/for the organization.
There's a small twist to Stacy's story.

- Two new Hilda events (bringing it to a total of 5 for her this update).
So you Hilda fans, get ready. Most of these scenes are pretty big and dramatic.
Where did they take her? What did they do to her? How will it perhaps change her?
We're going to see what happened to Hilda. A lot of cool stuff happens.

- Two new Nina scenes.
The parents discovered Nina didn't become big by eating lots of ice cream (uh oh!).
Dramatic and unexpected stuff happens... Then a naughty scene.

- Three new lab events.
Connecting to the breeding girls (a naughty scene).
Ramoray got a new scene and something else.

- The Aunt/Hilda's sister finally appears.
She finally came back from overseas.
We'll see quite a bit of her in this update.
Why is she here? How will her presence change things?
Will she interfere with what MC has been doing around Lewd Town?

- Sophia gets some dramatic and hilarious moments...

- A neutral event will split into a dark path event for players who chose "Pimp".

- Meet James (Sophia's father) and his crew. (some funny stuff in very dramatic moments)
This leads to later events which reveal new details about another character...

- A Pamela event. MC is looking for some help and Pam will help him.

- Pamela's daughter shows up (connected to the above event).

- Another Pam event (naughty).

- Organization events.
With Don and Madame Du Barry.

- A Rose event.

- Optional water sports event + some story.

- A Principal event (more of a tease).

- An Eva event. (I like this one, it's sort of a femdom scene but made a tad funny.)
I'll count it as a naughty scene.

- An emotional mc event. MC is sad in this one.
This one might leave players in tears if you're into the backstory/prologue history of the MC and his loved ones...

- A new Lisa event that gets naughty.
If you pay attention, we learn a little about Lisa's past that may surprise you.

- A bunch of smaller events for the following characters:
In the Organization... Don, Rose, Ramoray, Tanya, Shelly, Stella,
Around Lewd Town... Felicia, Emily, Mayor, Natalie, Zoe, and a bunch of others.

These are not part of the journal. They will activate by either talking to the character or exploring the world.

Good Paths:
- A Lilly/Sophia good path event.
They are free to leave their hotel... thanks to a mysterious 'guardian angel'?
A naughty scene.

- A Sarah good path event.
What became of Sarah?

- A Rose event.
A naughty scene.

- Two extra Hilda events
I can't go into detail here since it will spoil the fun.
Depending on Pimp/Hero choice, things will play out slightly differently.

Dark Paths:
- A Lilly dark path naughty event.
- A Sophia dark path naughty event.
- A Sarah dark path naughty scene.
- A Rose dark path naughty event.
- Other (spoiler) stuff we cannot reveal here...

Some events are missing from this list intentionally since this is more or less a copy-paste from a few weeks ago.
This post is already huge and you’ll just have to see things for yourself.

Technical Stuff:
30 sound effects got added to make the game feel a bit more alive. I've added a bunch of effects during certain scenes.

The plan was to add tons of them but that would be distracting/overkill. Instead, sound effects have only been inserted during certain scenes and moments where they enhance the emotional punch of the moment. So when someone gets slapped or falls, when there's an explosion or whatever, you'll notice it when it happens. ^_^

The game received a whole new GUI.
The old interface was a tad basic and inconsistent. To make the game a bit more unique and have its own style we've spent the past 2 months refining and changing it quite a bit.

This includes a new load/save screen, settings & gallery, credits & music, journal & character selection screens - and more!

The map and a few icons remain the same, since those got a new look in 0.8.

Changed the fonts, making the dialogue easier to read. Added a very transparent gray text box to help the words jump out better.

Why did we do this? There were complaints about the inability to read the narrow (generic) typeface, so we gave it an update (which was also long overdue). I went for something basic, since I'm not a fan of too much stuff on the screen. I also didn't want to go overboard with it and make it a fancy cursive or gothic style font, which doesn't really fit LTA anyway.
Fun fact: This stuff is not easy to do. It all took A LOT of time and effort to get it just right. In the end, the 0.9 version of this game has one of the more unique interfaces in the adult VN world.
The journal/quest log did get an update as well, nothing major in the terms of tasks but it hopefully won't get players stuck on certain events. 

What we've seen is that lots of players seem to like to follow only one or two characters, neglecting all of the others. Sadly, this is not how Lewd Town Adventures is intended to work.

By not progressing every character in the quest log, players can get stuck. They then jump out of the game to ask us on discord or in online comment boxes how to continue their favorite girl's story... 
The answer is always, ALWAYS: Progress everyone's story at about the same pace, paying attention to the specific days listed in the tasks.

We also replaced the "Narrator" with something different. I think it works out better.

It's way better than it was, maybe not perfect but absolutely a step in the right direction. 

Typos/consistency/smoothness fixed.
Jaredh72 went through the whole game multiple times and changed all the typos, wrong or questionable punctuation, and certain areas where words needed to be capitalized or not... This might look like a small thing but it's huge as this game contains hundreds of pages of dialogue! Jared72 found quite a few things we missed, even in the new 0.9 stuff. It's a major improvement and I'm very thankful for all the work he put in.

Another thing is that I wanted to keep the game size 'small' for the players. The more we add, the bigger it gets, and the more challenging it is to download each update (not to mention find file hosts that allow downloads in excess of 5gb, at least for free)... 

This is why we're releasing a compressed version. When I first started I had no idea you could just compress the entire game.  NOTE: If players wish to have an uncompressed version, contact me directly for a download link. Due to the file host downloading speed limits, it may take an hour or three to download, though. (The game went from 5-ish gig to 7.5gig uncompressed.)

Subscriber Stuff:

A new gallery unlocker cheat code will be available through SubscribeStar.

4 new SubscribeStar-exclusive custom events got added. All were custom requests by donors.
They are exclusive rewards for our supporters. A couple of the scenes were a real delight to write and render. At least three of them have 50+ renders/animations and are quite extensive.


In Conclusion:

This has been a very crazy update where both Xo Mo and I had to give way more energy/time than ever before. There should be no bugs in the game right now.

Also, in the coming weeks... Keep an eye out for youtube (censored) and adult website (uncensored) videos. Xo Mo is working on those personally while writing new stuff for our next update... The official launch will be October 15 so only a few more days!

IMPORTANT REMINDER:

The early release will last for a month! The public release will be November 15.
I really hate doing that because I want everyone to be able to enjoy everything.

The thing is just that it's been shown to work having different tier rewards and that's why I'm going to change the early release to October 15th for $10+ subscribers and 1 Nov for $5+ subscribers.

There are 4 new scenes that will only be available for $10+ subscribers
To sum them up including the last subscribe star only event:

  • Tanya gangbang on the Lewd Paradise Auction stage.
  • Tanya vs Sarah, lesbian action.
  • Customer x Hilda (Ageplay/Mommy).
  • MC x Emily x Sophia. Sophia learns about sex from Emily.(Threesome)
  • Ramoray x Kathleen (Futa).

Basically these are all rewards. The $25 reward equals an image or animation but I always feel like going a bit further with that which resulted in two of these events. 

The other three events were specifically requested by higher SubscribeStar tier members. 

When we wrote and rendered these, they resulted in major scenes that we tried to make sure could eventually be added to the game when they fit the storyline.

If you have a request or would like to have your specific kink/scene added to the game, let us know. Disclaimer: almost anything goes as long as it fits the theme of the game. Exclusions: you will never see vore, scat, or some of the more violent kinks.

There are a few optional scenes available that are clearly marked as ntr.
This game has lots of different kinks of which basically all are optional, can be altered, or simply skipped.

Good paths turn this game into a harem game with tons of girls at your exposal.
Dark paths make this game not vanilla and pretty damn crazy with lots of extra fetishes and stuff.

what about hilda, it looked like she was raped in the photo and if i chose not to take doc's offer she is dead. So kill the character or get cukked?

Hilda was taken by a female doctor which does not contain any ntr and no cucking whatsoever.

Good day! I'd like to drop some of my mid-game experiences based on the version I've played, 0.8.

First of all, I was shocked to see such quality when I played the game expecting to get some laughs and move on. The story is great and the 3d poses are amazing. It's been a really fun experience playing your game. 

That being said, there are a few things that I don't really understand. Is this a "pick your destiny" game? because the MC doesn't really give us an option when giving out his "Energy Drinks" to some girls (ie. there was an option to Corrupt Sophia's mom or leave her alone but there wasn't one for Mia). I get that we shouldn't have 100% control of everything that will happen but I think we should atleast be given the option to control the MC to a great extent. The game gave us an option to name him so aren't we technically supposed to self-insert our actions? 

As I like the game very much I want to be a bit helpful so here are some bugs I've found (I play the android version).

A.) Some critical events trigger even when other character's storylines aren't done yet. I remember the MC talking about how the organization already had her mom and Rachel's mom (the MC's mom's friend) but I haven't even completed his Mom's friend's storyline at all (I forgot who she is, maybe Pamella?)


B.)The girl dictionary/book's description can get bugged. For example, I've already completed what Ramoray asked me to do which was the pool event in the university and met Mia in the classroom but it still says "Meet Mia in the classroom after day 59. But you have to do something for Dr. Ramoray first" even after I've already done the deed with her in her room.

QoL changes I'd love to see:

A.) Tapping on Rose or Emily to talk to them instead of a decision branch every morning when you sleep together because it gets annoying real fast. Same thing with the mansion's reception room.

B.) An animation or atleast a different background coloring between "Save" and "Load" sections because sometimes I get the two confused and just tap through the overwrite message. EDIT: seems like this one is done in 0.9 thanks devs!

C.) The cafeteria serving more function other than a time-sink and an event location. An idea would be like hearing girls' gossips on what food or type of guys they like so we can strategically corrupt them instead of the book guiding us through a linear pathing.

D.) A hide UI button.

E.) Adding the Waitress as an actual character in the game. (come on, don't tease us lol) 




Specific Kinks I'd love to get added in:

A.) Hairjob (unless it's already in, but it's been rather normal if you ignore the drugs and NTR aspect)

B.) Hidden s*x (I'm surprised this isn't in the game tbh, unless it's at the very end that is.)

Woah! Thank you very much for the detailed report. It somewhat is a pick your destiny kind of game although the most important decision for that is later on in the game, you haven't reached that part yet. I try to keep as many things optional as possible, especially different fetishes but because of the insane workload for different paths/choices and stuff some I can't have every single character path optional because from a development point of view that's not just not possible for a game on this scale. Remember that every few minutes of game time takes many hours for the developer. That's also why the Waitress is not an available character yet, the focus is on all of the girls that are in the journal, later on we can focus more on the cafeteria.

The Mia event in the journal is not a bug. You have to do something else for Ramoray but that quest won't trigger since you haven't completed all of Pamela's quests. The way this game is meant to be played is to follow all character paths, since you've skipped Pamela, one other character is undiscovered and it basically locks you out from quite a few other quests that are required for the boss to show up.

Having said that,  0.9 fixed a lot of stuff including event triggers so spoilers and whatever shouldn't happen anymore as far as I'm aware.
Talking to characters is more interesting in the coming version as well. Also, since the characters are animated it's technically not possible to tap on them instead of having the menu show up. If I were to choose between static or animation I personally prefer animations.

The "Hide UI" button is already there and can be activated by pressing "H" on PC. Not sure if there is something similar for Android?

As for kinks, there are quite a few of them in this game and we'll definitely expand on that.
Not sure if a hair job would be possible though, it's the first time I've heard of it. In general, if requests come in often enough I'll consider adding them for sure.
